SPECIFICATIONS
General Description
A
hydraulically operated concentric ram compactor, with
hardened cast ductile iron shear teeth, compacting against
a heavily reinforced door with a quick opening latch.
The compaction body and compaction chamber are tubular
in shape and form one continuous integral body of structural
3/8" steel plate. The ram is similarly constructed
of 1/4" plate with a compaction face of 3/4"
plate ( The hydraulic power pack is normally mounted
on the floor along side the compactor but as an optional
extra may be mounted on the body.). Operation is exceptionally
quiet.
Hydraulic System
A
prepackaged power system with components rated at 3000
psi, but operates at a recommended pressure of 1100
psi for longer life and low maintenance.
Electrical
620-C5:
Three phase, 60 Hz, four wire, 5 hp, 1725 rpm motor
operating at 200-208 v, 15 amps. (Other voltages on
special order). Furnished with motor starter. Combination
control and logic box utilizes 115 v circuit.
Automatic refuse sensor
Photoelectric
switch with solid state components starts compaction
cycle when refuse enters hopper and breaks beam and
turns it off when hopper is empty.
